Payments

Kustom: connect, markets and modes

Connect Kustom (Klarna Checkout-compatible checkout), choose markets, test versus live, capture mode and push URL.

Kustom is the only live payment route in BunStack. The customer pays in Kustom's widget (card, Klarna, Swish, Apple Pay, Google Pay depending on your agreement) inside BunStack's checkout.

Connect

Under Integrations › Kustom:

  1. Get the API key ID and password in Kustom's merchant portal. The test account (playground) and the live account have different credentials.
  2. Choose environment: Playground for testing, Live for real trading.
  3. Paste the credentials and save. BunStack verifies them against Kustom and stores them encrypted; they are never shown again in admin.
  4. Under Storefronts › Checkout you select Kustom as the checkout for the storefront.

Never paste API credentials anywhere other than this form. If a key has ended up in a chat or an email: rotate it in Kustom's portal.

Markets

Kustom accepts only certain pairs of country and currency per account. Under the Settings tab of the Kustom integration you list the pairs, for example SE + SEK, NO + NOK, DK + DKK. The checkout checks the pair before the order is created; if it does not match, the customer is offered to switch to a working currency instead of an error.

Kustom's playground account often lacks SEK. Test in NOK or DKK and switch to SEK once the live account is in place.

Capture mode

Push URL and validation

Kustom sends a confirmation (push) to BunStack when the customer has paid, and asks BunStack whether the stock suffices before approving the purchase. The URLs are protected with a secret token that you can rotate from the integration page.

Test purchase

With playground credentials the widget shows "Test Mode" and a Test Data button that fills in a test customer. The payment is confirmed without real money, the order is created as usual and the emails are sent. The widget's terms text shows Kustom's own test merchant until the live account is connected.
