Payment: overview
Kustom is the only payment. How a payment runs, where you set it up, test purchases in the playground and test orders.
Kustom is the only payment route in BunStack.
Where: Stack › Kustom and Storefronts › [storefront] › Checkout.
How a payment runs
- The customer pays in Kustom's checkout window inside BunStack's checkout.
- Kustom asks BunStack about stock, amount and country before it approves the purchase.
- BunStack creates the order when Kustom has completed the purchase. The customer gets the order confirmation.
- BunStack captures the money when you ship the order. With Auto, BunStack captures it at purchase.
- Refunds and cancellations go from the order to Kustom.
An unpaid checkout becomes no order. Your Kustom agreement decides which payment methods the checkout window shows.

Test purchases and test orders
Test purchases in the playground are under Kustom. An order paid in the playground is a test order and does not count in the reports. See Test orders.
