Getting started

Your first storefront

What already exists once the storefront is created, what to do first and how to test without going live.

What it looks like at the start

The storefront is created as a draft. Drafts are visible only to you: the temporary address answers with a "No shop here" page for visitors until you go live. In admin you find the storefront under Storefronts with tabs for overview, domain, go-live, pricing rules, shipping, checkout, pages and theme.

Ready from the start:

  • A temporary address slug-xxxxxxxx.bunstack.shop with a certificate.
  • A published, empty theme. The designer opens it directly.
  • Legal pages as drafts: terms, privacy policy, right of withdrawal, shipping and delivery, cookies. They contain markers such as [FYLL I: …] where your details are missing.
  • Default currency and language from the wizard. Delivery country: your home country.

Do this first

  1. Add at least one product with a price and make it visible in the storefront. Without products the go-live check stops.
  2. Choose checkout: under Storefronts › Checkout you select Kustom once the integration is connected. The built-in test checkout exists for development only and cannot be used for real.
  3. Add shipping methods under Storefronts › Shipping and fill in the sender address.
  4. Open the designer and set logo, colours and the sections of the home page. Publish.
  5. Review the legal pages under Storefronts › Pages, replace the markers and publish.

Preview

The designer shows the store as the visitor will see it, including cart and checkout. If you want to test the whole flow with real integrations in test mode you can go live on the temporary address and pause again when done. Kustom's test mode and Sendify's sandbox create no real payments or shipments.

More storefronts

Under Storefronts › New storefront you create more storefronts, blank or as a copy of an existing one (theme, pages, product selection, shipping methods and module settings come along, never API keys). The number of storefronts depends on your plan.
