Go live
The Go live page: what red and yellow mean, Use Live in Kustom, the buttons to pause and unpublish, and a test purchase after go-live.
The Go live page runs the checks and opens, pauses or unpublishes the storefront.
Where: Storefronts › [storefront] › Go live.
How the checks work
- A red row stops Go live. The check runs on the server.
- A yellow row warns but does not stop.
- Fix on a red row, and Review on a yellow one, opens the page where you correct it.
- Re-run runs the checks again.
- The browser checks the rows marked advisory.
The checks also run for a storefront that is live. A red row does not take the storefront down. The top says how many rows are red. After a pause the storefront cannot go live again until they are green.
Overview shows a card, Before going live, with every check that is not green. Each row has what was found and a button straight to the setting that fixes it: Fix for what is required (red), Review for what only warns (yellow). On a live storefront the card reads To fix — this would stop the shop going live today and shows checks added after the storefront went live. The preview always works; the storefront's own domain only once it is live.
The Native test checkout takes no payment. A storefront on Native has a red Checkout provider, so you cannot press Go live. BunStack refuses a change that would leave a live storefront on Native, with A live storefront cannot use native checkout: native takes no payment. Pause the storefront first. This can happen when you save a Checkout tab that was opened before the storefront went live.
Every check and when it turns red or yellow is listed under The checks before go-live.
Use Live
Kustom is set per workspace. When you press Use Live under Stack › Kustom, every live storefront on the workspace's Kustom account takes real payments.
BunStack refuses Use Live, and a first connection on Live · production, until these checks are green:
- Other live shops on Kustom
- Open discount codes
- Merchant identity and Tax & VAT
- Terms of purchase, Privacy policy and Right of withdrawal & returns
- Shipping & delivery page and Cookie policy, when the page is published and contains
[FYLL I:, the template's draft line or a placeholder. A page that is missing or not published does not stop the switch.
BunStack reads the rows on the live storefronts that use Kustom. If no storefront is live, it reads every storefront that uses Kustom. It does not read a draft storefront while another storefront with Kustom is live.
Kustom environment and Currencies & payment do not stop the switch. They turn green only after the switch.
The Go live page marks the rows that stop the switch with holds Use Live. The Kustom page lists them per storefront, with a link to the storefront's Go live page. You can save and check the Live credentials in the meantime.
The buttons

Pause and Unpublish ask you to confirm. The dialog shows how many rows are red now, for example Going live again re-runs the checklist (2 failing now). They must be green before the storefront can go live again.
Warning: Pause and Unpublish also close the order pages and Ångra köp. The law requires the withdrawal function for the whole 14-day withdrawal period. Make the storefront private under Access if you only want to stop sales.
In a storefront with Sells to consumers the dialog also shows how many orders were placed or shipped in the last 30 days, for example 3 orders were placed or shipped in the last 30 days.
Domain
You connect a custom domain under Storefronts › [storefront] › Domain, before or after go-live. A custom domain needs the Starter plan. Until the domain is active, the storefront uses the temporary address. See Domains and DNS.
Test after go-live
- Buy a cheap product in the storefront.
- Check that the order confirmation arrives.
- Press Fulfill order on the order and print the label.
- Check that the shipping email arrives.
- Refund the purchase with Refund on the order.
The order is paid in Live, so you cannot mark it as a test order. The reports deduct the refund, so the order nets to zero.
