Sendify: connect, book, labels and tracking
Connect Sendify, test a quote, book at fulfilment, print labels in the right format and follow the parcel.
Sendify gathers several carriers (DHL, DSV, PostNord, Bring and more) behind one API. BunStack uses it for live rates in the checkout, booking at fulfilment, labels and tracking.
Connect
Under Integrations › Sendify:
- Create an API key in Sendify under Settings › API. Sandbox and production have different keys and different addresses.
- Choose the environment and paste the key. BunStack verifies it against Sendify's status endpoint.
- Under Settings on the integration: label format, pickup time and lead time in days.
- The Test quote tab lets you fetch prices for an address and a basket without creating anything.
Label format
| Format | Fits |
|---|---|
| Printer | Thermal printer, one label per page |
| 1×2 | A4 with two labels |
| 3×1 | A4 with three labels |
| A4 | One label on an A4 sheet |
The label is created when the order is booked. If you need to print again, or in another format, Print label is on the order.
Booking at fulfilment
When you mark the order as shipped, BunStack books with Sendify using the customer's address, the chosen shipping method and pickup point, fetches the label and stores the tracking number and cost on the order. A booking basis from the checkout is reused when the address was complete and the quote has not expired; otherwise a new quote is made and the closest matching option is chosen.
If the label print fails, the booking is still saved and you can print later.
Pickup points
Shipping methods that require a pickup point show a list of pickup locations near the customer's postal code in the checkout. The choice follows into the booking.
Tracking
Every fifteen minutes BunStack fetches the status of booked shipments. Delivered updates the order and sends the delivery email. The tracking link is on the order and in the emails.
Sandbox versus production
The sandbox creates no real shipments and prices are approximate. Every shipment created via the API appears on Sendify's import page. Switch to production by changing environment and key on the integration.
