Team, roles and your account

Invite colleagues, change roles, Settings › Developer, your own account, switching workspace, Activity log and the plan.

Last updated · 4 min read

Here you invite colleagues, change roles and see what has happened in the workspace.

Where: Settings › Team, Your account in the avatar menu and Activity log under More in the sidebar.

Invite a colleague

  1. Open Settings › Team.
  2. Fill in the colleague's email address and choose a role.
  3. Press Create invite link.
  4. Press Copy link and send the link yourself.

BunStack does not email the invitation. The link is valid for 14 days. It works only for an account with exactly the email address you entered.

If the button does not show Copied, the browser blocked the copy. The page then shows the link selected in a field. Copy it by hand.

The person you invite does this:

  1. Open the link. The invitation page shows the workspace's name and the role.
  2. With a BunStack account: press Sign in and then Accept invitation.
  3. Without an account: press Create account. The email address is filled in and locked. Choose a password and confirm the email address if the page asks.

The account joins the workspace with the invitation's role. BunStack creates no new workspace.

Members and roles

Settings › Team lists members and invitations that are not accepted. Team has no row of its own in the sidebar. The headings count members and invitations. Hover over a member to see the user id.

  • Owner and Admin can invite, change roles and remove members.
  • Only an Owner can give the Owner role, change an Owner's role or remove an Owner.
  • An Admin does not see Owner in the role picker, and an Owner's row has no buttons for an Admin.
  • An Admin can copy the link of an Owner invitation but not revoke it. The row says Owner-role invitation — only an owner can change it.
  • Editor and Viewer see the members but change nothing.
  • Remove and Revoke ask you to confirm, for example Revoke the invite for anna@example.com? A revoked link stops working.

What each role may do is under Roles in the team.

Settings › Developer

Settings › Developer has the rows API keys and Webhooks, for Owner and Admin also Developer tools, and last API docs.
